[About rbl-milter]

This is a simple sendmail milter which adds an X-RBL-Warning header to any emails that are received that come from an open relay as determined by your choice of RBL checking service (i.e. bl.spamcop.net). This is being released under the GNU Public License.

  • 0.30 (6/13/2002) - Major Update. Checks IP addresses inside "Received" headers (thanks to Paul Jakma for the great work on that). Added limited syslog logging of RBL hosts. Does not check RFC1918 hosts. Works properly on Sparc platforms (fixed endiness issues).
  • 0.22 (3/20/2002) - Fixed local mail delivery by not returning TEMPFAIL. Closed stdin,stdout,stderr fixing ssh hang. Updated configure to properly check for res_ninit. Updated rbl-milter.c to properly compile for people who have old resolver libraries.
  • 0.21 (3/19/2002) - Fixed some improper freeing of memory, cleaned up debuging items. Other general cleanup and bugfixes.
  • 0.2 (2/28/2002) - Added ability to specify multiple RBL lists to check against. Added autoconf configuration. Added compatibility with older versions of resolver libraries.
  • 0.1 (2/9/2002) - Initial public release.
